Description

Our “You Gots To Chill” Alpha1906.com model is Bro. Brian Edwards. Bro. Edwards was initiated into Alpha Phi Alpha through the Pi Kappa Chapter on May 31, 1999 at California State University, Northridge.   After graduating with a BA in History, and Masters in Education from USC, Brian began his career in education teaching at a small private school in the San Fernando Valley.  After spending two years working for LAUSD, he then spent the next six years teaching in South Los Angeles for KIPP and the Inner City Education Foundation.

Wanting to get back to his love of the French language, Brian studied at The Sorbonne in Paris focusing on French language and phonetics.  He took this knowledge as well as his many years of taking French and is currently employed as a History teacher at Le Lycee Francais de Los Angeles.  In addition to teaching History, he is also the girls basketball coach and runs the school’s chess club.
